Blessings in the Riedel home

Well, it is hard to believe that it was only a week ago that little Wesley was born. He is all smiles (gas really) and lots of fun. The nights have not been too hard, however, it has been a challenge once again to breastfeed. He has followed Lizzie's example and is being a little stubborn with it all. I really thought that he would take to it quickly being a boy and all. I think that we have it figured out. It is funny how some things you have to relearn, or so it seems.
Lizzie is really doing great with Wesley. She is helping out and has started babbling this week which is really funny since we just had our first experience with a babbling toddler (not ours) last weekend. We went to a friends house and they have a 2 year old little girl. She babbled to Cody as long as he would listen. Cody and I made jokes on the way home about it only being a matter of time, but we didn't think it would be that soon.
Cody is doing great too. He is staying busy between keeping up with Lizzie, Wesley and myself. I think that he might be getting a little tired and ready to start back to work. I know that he will miss us even if he doesn't want to admit it. He holds Wesley as much as he can and still finds time to play with Lizzie and take her on their normal routine (bike rides, seeing the ducks, playing at the playground...)
As for me, I am doing great. Still a little sore, but doing good. Funny enough, my foot hurts worse than my stomach. I think that I hurt it in the hospital and am just now feeling it since the pain pills are gone (they aren't gone... I put them away... I hate to take meds).
I didn't post any pics today so I will leave you with this visual...the cutest thing happened in our home this morning. Lizzie slept in so we went and put Wesley in bed with her and let her wake up with him laying next to her. Yes...I have video. It was so precious. She woke up and saw him laying there and immediately had a huge smile on her face. She then proceeded to kiss on him and tell him 'I love you a you a you.' She was so happy that he was in bed with her. She really loves her little bubba.
Hope to send pics soon when I have a little more time on my hands...
